THE CHRISTMAS MESSIAH. Benefit Concerts for the Children of Ukraine

On Monday, Dec. 5, and Tuesday, Dec. 6, the Halcyon Chamber Choir and the Regina Philharmonic Chorus will join together to present two concerts of Handel’s MESSIAH, with as much pomp and majesty as befits this wonderful masterpiece.  Their 120 voices, along with soloists, orchestra, and organ, will fill the Sanctuary at Knox-Metropolitan United Church with glorious sound as we usher in the Christmas season.  The concerts will begin at 7:30 pm and admission is by donation at the door.

What makes this evening even more special is that all money donated will go directly to help orphaned children of Ukraine.  The money will be sent by the Ukrainian Catholic Church to the Sister Servants of St. Josephs, a religious order who run orphanages in Ukraine, as well as providing food and supplies to those in need in Eastern Ukraine. Receipts can be issued for those requesting a tax-receipt.

We do hope that you will come out and enjoy an evening of beautiful music, as well as generously supporting this worthy cause.
