Feb. 24, 2024 marks the second year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
To date, millions of displaced Ukrainians have left Ukraine in search of a safe, stable place to live and support their families through this difficult time. Over 6,000 displaced Ukrainians have come to Saskatchewan, and approximately half of those have settled in Regina.
UCC Regina Supports Ukrainian Families Displaced by Russia’s Invasion
In partnership with others, UCC Regina operates the Regina Donation Centre for Displaced Ukrainians that provides donated items to families in need for those who are setting up their homes in our community.
Donations of time, talent and treasure are greatly appreciated due to ongoing need. For current information on the Centre’s needs, please follow the project’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/p/ Regina-Donation-Centre-for- Displaced-Ukrainians- 100083682854140/. As well, we are greatly assisted by local volunteers who can help new families adjust to live in Regina.
