Application Guide
Objectives
The Regina Ukrainian Community Grant aims to:
- Contribute to the cultural and organizational development of UCC-Regina’s organizations and members.
- Celebrate the arts, culture, and identity of Regina’s Ukrainian community.
- Support volunteerism and broaden participation in Ukrainian community activities.
- Support youth programs.
- Promote intercultural experiences in Regina’s cultural communities.
Eligible Applicants
The Regina Ukrainian Community Grant accepts applications from any UCC-Regina Members that are in good standing according to the UCC-Regina by-laws.
Applicants with unsettled Regina Ukrainian Community Grant claim reports or update forms are ineligible.
Eligible Projects
- Regina Ukrainian Community Grant funding may be only used for the specific application activity approved by UCC-Regina.
- Projects already completed by the date of application are ineligible for funding.
- Projects receiving Regina Ukrainian Community Grant funding must be completed within twelve (12) months of the listed start date.
- Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Regina branch must be recognized at some or many points during your project.
Application Assessment:
Regina Ukrainian Community Grant funding is determined by the following:
- Application eligibility
- Eligibility of the proposed activity
- Project goals/objectives ( does the project meet one or more of the objectives?)
- Is the proposed budget realistic and achievable?
- Cultural impact /legacy of the project and/or community
- The amount and type of Ukrainian cultural content in the proposed activity.
- There is a limited dollar amount per each application, any organization can submit more than one application per year, but priority will be given to organizations that are applying for the first time.
- If money still remains in that year’s grant fund, the remaining applications will be re-evaluated.
Project Budget:
The Regina Ukrainian Community Grant funding is limited to $250.00 per project for this grant year.
Please submit a budget for your proposed project.
Revenue, expenses, and in-Kind contributions should be in the budget.
Ineligible projects:
- Projects completed before the date of application.
- Fundraising events and/or profit-making activities for commercial gain.
- An organization’s regular, annual general, executive, or board meetings.
- Organizational deficits or operational costs such as rent, salaries, or honoraria for staff/officers.
- Allowances, wages, or personal expenses for program registrants and participants.
- Cash prizes, gifts, or the purchase of food and/or alcohol.
- Activities that exclusively promote definable political viewpoints
- Social dances
Final Reporting
Within 90 days of the project’s completion grant recipients are required to submit a final report, including a narrative report, project financials as well as proof of recognition of the UCC-Regina Ukrainian Community Grant.
